Job summary

M365Consult is seeking a Senior Mobile & Platform Engineer to bridge Android and iOS development, backend services, databases, and infrastructure. You will contribute to Kotlin Multiplatform architectures, support developers on both platforms, and help maintain shared components and CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes practical AI-assisted tooling, robust architecture, and the potential for technical leadership over Android and iOS teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level mobile software development experience.
• Strong Kotlin and Android development experience, with Swift/iOS experience.
• Solid hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform and integrating shared code into both mobile platforms.
• Ability to investigate problems across mobile clients, APIs, backend services, databases, and infrastructure.
• Practical backend development experience and knowledge of API design, authentication, and security.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, including migrations and performance troubleshooting.
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Linux servers, deployment, configuration, and operational troubleshooting.
• Excellent Git and GitHub knowledge, PR processes, branching, and repo configuration.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and coding agents to deliver working software.
• Ability to establish development workflows combining coding agents, automated checks, and human review.
• Clear communication and practical documentation skills, plus willingness to share knowledge.
• Ability to work independently while supporting others and start promptly.

Responsibilities

• Support Android and iOS developers with decisions, debugging, reviews.
• Develop and maintain shared logic using Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Contribute to native Android and iOS development where needed.
• Maintain architecture across mobile apps, backend services, APIs, and databases.
• Develop and maintain backend functionality and server-side integrations.
• Manage database changes, migrations, and data issues; ensure backups and recovery.
• Build and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot GitHub runners.
• Improve build reliability, testing, and deployment processes.
• Manage server deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Establish AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows across the team.
• Review AI-generated code for testability, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor developers and share knowledge with the team.
• Lead technically when needed: coordinate dependencies and guide decisions.
