Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited, Philippine Branch is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile solutions while supporting the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Possesses a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
• Strong hands-on mobile development experience for Android and/or iOS.
• Experience with modern mobile stacks and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance native mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Analyze requirements and translate into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs and cloud services to support mobile app functionality.
• Apply best practices including code reviews, unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, and secure coding.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot, optimize performance, and resolve defects in prod and non-prod environments.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate emerging mobile technologies to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Support deployment and monitoring in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Collaborate with onshore teams and stakeholders throughout SDLC.
