Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of building services HVAC systems across all project stages.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent, codes compliance, and smooth project execution from concept through construction. The role requires 5+ years in mechanical systems design, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering design experience in Mechanical systems.
• Experience in healthcare facilities or project management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with healthcare guidelines (HTM/ASHRAE/CIBSE) is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for HVAC system design, coordination and integration across all project phases from design development to construction administration.
• Lead the design process to promote cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Coordinate project documentation (drawings, specifications) and review team inputs.
• Conduct site inspections, oversee HVAC installation and commissioning, and participate in project meetings for building developments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure design intent and codes compliance through from concept to project completion.
• Identify and manage risks, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual processes.
• Monitor delegated tasks, flag resource issues and identify opportunities for additional fees.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for HVAC system, design, coordination and integration in building projects, covering all phases from design development, tender preparation, to project administration.

What We"ll Love About You:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• 5+ years of relevant engineering design experience and knowledge in Mechanical systems.

• Prior experience in engineering consulting work, particular in Healthcare Facilities or project management will be advantageous.

• Candidate with strong knowledge in relevant Healthcare related Guidelines, such as HTM/ASHRAE/CIBSE will also be advantageous

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
