Job summary

RCBC is seeking an Audit Associate in the Philippines to support the Division and Department Head in formulating the Annual Audit Schedule and to perform regular and special examinations of RCBC units. You will conduct engagement planning, assess risks, and prepare audit strategies and procedures before engagements, review findings with auditees, and ensure timely audit reports and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Preferably CPA, CIA, or CISA.
• With basic knowledge of risk-based audit, auditing standards, accounting standards, banking regulations and bank operations and processes.
• Assertive and self-confident with good supervisory and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Division and Department Head in the formulation of the Annual Audit Schedule.
• Perform regular and special examinations of RCBC units to evaluate the adequacy of controls and risk awareness.
• Conduct engagement planning involving familiarization, risk identification, and assessment.
• Evaluate and assess risk areas, ensure appropriateness of audit objectives, and prepare audit strategy and procedures.
• Review and approve audit findings, present to auditees, discuss deficiencies, and suggest corrective actions.
• Ensure prompt submission of audit reports, working papers, and deliverables for each engagement.
• Monitor resolution of corrective actions on significant exceptions.
• Prepare audit programs for units under initial audit or update programs to current operations.
