Job summary

Safari Micro, Inc. is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage and enhance on-premises and hybrid environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms.

The role requires hands-on expertise and strong troubleshooting across enterprise technologies to ensure reliability, security, and scalability for clients and internal systems. The ideal candidate will oversee data center operations, backup strategies, and network components while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 Administration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions and data center operations.
• Experience with PowerShell or automation tools.
• Preferred: Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms; networking knowledge; relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft, CompTIA Server+, Network+, or CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user accounts, permissions, and identity management.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licensing, and user support.
• Maintain VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtual machines.
• Support physical servers, storage systems, and data center operations.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Assist with network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and wireless environments.
• Provide Tier II/III technical support and escalation for complex issues.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, hardware, and end-user problems.
• Implement security best practices, system patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in infrastructure projects and upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support technology needs.
