Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer to design, build and support HL7 interfaces within an Epic environment. You will bridge clinical requirements with technical execution, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.

In this role you will work with Epic Bridges, Cloverleaf, and other engines to deliver reliable interfaces, adhere to HIPAA standards, and collaborate with application teams, vendors, and stakeholders across healthcare systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf to enable healthcare data exchange.
• Strong ability to map clinical requirements to technical interface designs.
• Proficient with HL7 message types and healthcare transaction standards.
• Experience with Epic Data Courier is a plus.
• Familiarity with HL7 v2.x and interface testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support HL7 interfaces and Epic Bridges integrations.
• Build and troubleshoot interfaces using Cloverleaf or similar engines.
• Troubleshoot production incidents ensuring secure data flow.
• Collaborate with clinical, IT, vendors and stakeholders.
• Participate in testing, deployments, and production support with HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain interface documentation and specs.

We are looking for a Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer to drive the design, development, and seamless execution of healthcare interfaces within a dynamic Epic environment. In this role, you will be the bridge between clinical requirements and technical execution, ensuring that critical healthcare data flows securely and efficiently.

(Note: This is a dedicated Healthcare Interoperability/Integration role, not a Data Engineering/ETL position).

What You Will Do

• Interface Architecture: Design, develop, and support robust HL7 v2.x interfaces and Epic Bridges integrations.
• Engine Management: Build and troubleshoot interfaces using Cloverleaf (or similar integration engines like Rhapsody/Ensemble).
• Problem Solving: Actively troubleshoot production incidents, resolving integration challenges to ensure a seamless data flow.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate complex business and clinical requirements into actionable interface solutions while working closely with application teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Quality & Compliance: Participate in full-cycle testing, deployments, and production support while strictly adhering to HIPAA and healthcare security standards.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive interface documentation and technical specifications.

What You Bring to the Table (Mandatory Skills)

• Core Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf (or comparable integration engines) to facilitate healthcare data exchange.
• HL7 Mastery: Strong knowledge of handling various HL7 message types (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU, MDM, SIU, and DFT).
• Standards Knowledge: Proven experience with X12 and EDI standards relevant to healthcare transactions.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing complex integration issues and providing top-tier production support.
• Communication: Exceptional soft skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Epic Data Courier
• Knowledge of modern interoperability standards like FHIR and REST APIs
