Job summary

MicroSourcing seeks a Senior Python Full-Stack Engineer in Cebu to join our onsite night-shift team. You will build end-to-end features using Python, Flask, and modern JS, while integrating with AI, EHR/CRM systems, and cloud services.

You’ll collaborate on production code, ensure reliability, and drive improvements across the stack. The role requires strong Python skills in a mature codebase, full-stack capabilities, and experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Python with a mature production codebase.
• Full-stack development including backend, databases, HTML/CSS, and JS.

• Relational databases, SQL, ORM, and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver end-to-end features across backend services, templates, interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and maintain workflows connecting web apps with AI, voice systems, webhooks, queues, EHR/CRM platforms, and browser automation.
• Conform to existing production codebase, understand unfamiliar code, follow conventions, and implement pragmatic improvements.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, background jobs, and external services.
• Manage PostgreSQL data, SQLAlchemy models, Alembic migrations, Redis, and async processing.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using pytest and existing patterns.
• Diagnose issues using production/staging logs and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate via GitHub PRs, automated testing, linting, staging validation, and releases.
• Leverage AI engineering tools to understand code, plan changes, generate tests, and review code.
• Own production issues from investigation to resolution, improving reliability and velocity.

Your Role

As a Sr. Python Full-Stack Engineer, you will:

• Build and deliver end-to-end product features across Python/Flask backend services, Jinja templates, JavaScript interfaces, database models, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Develop and maintain agentic workflows connecting web applications with AI and voice systems, webhooks, queues, EHR/CRM platforms, and browser automation.
• Work within an existing production codebase, quickly understand unfamiliar code, follow established conventions, and implement pragmatic improvements without unnecessary rewrites.
• Design, integrate, and troubleshoot REST APIs, OAuth flows, webhooks, retries, idempotency, background jobs, and external-service failure handling.
• Manage PostgreSQL data, SQLAlchemy models, Alembic migrations, Redis, and asynchronous processing while maintaining data integrity.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using pytest and existing testing patterns to reduce regression risks.
• Diagnose application and integration issues using production and staging logs and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch.
• Collaborate through GitHub pull requests, automated testing, linting, staging validation, and production release workflows.
• Use modern AI engineering tools to understand code, plan and implement changes, generate tests, investigate failures, review code, and improve development productivity.
• Own production issues from investigation through resolution while continuously improving system reliability and developer velocity.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Strong professional experience in Python and the ability to work effectively in a mature production codebase.
• Full-stack development experience, including backend development, databases, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
• Practical experience with Flask or a comparable Python web framework.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, ORM-based development, and schema migrations.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and troubleshooting authentication, webhooks, timeouts, retries, and malformed responses.
• Working knowledge of AWS and containerized application environments.
• Strong Git/GitHub practices and experience creating focused, reviewable pull requests.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted software development using tools such as GPT/ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, including SQS, Redis, background workers, or similar systems.
• Experience with Playwright or browser automation.
• Experience with LLMs, agentic applications, tool calling, prompt-driven workflows, or voice AI.
• Experience working with healthcare software, EHR/FHIR integrations, security-sensitive applications, or other regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across application logs, queues, external APIs, and databases.
• Ability to independently validate AI-generated code and apply sound engineering judgment, security awareness, and quality standards.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical changes, testing performed, and potential risks.
• Comfortable taking ownership of production issues from diagnosis through resolution.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Experience with Python 3.12+, Flask 3.x, Jinja, Bootstrap, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, Redis/ElastiCache, and AWS RDS.
• Experience with AWS services such as ECS, S3, SQS, Secrets Manager, SES, Bedrock, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with AsyncIO, APScheduler, Celery, or similar background-processing infrastructure.
• Experience with OpenAI APIs, Twilio, Auth0, HubSpot, Slack, ModMed/FHIR, or similar healthcare and business integrations.
• Experience with pytest, pytest-cov, Ruff, pre-commit, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience building production AI-native or agentic applications.
• Experience working in healthcare technology, EHR systems, FHIR integrations, or other compliance-focused environments.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving distributed-system failures across multiple application and infrastructure layers.
