Job summary

PUMA Sports Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee accounts payable, billing, and tax compliance in a dynamic startup environment in the Philippines.

The role includes supporting month-end close, posting entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and preparing VAT and Expanded Withholding Tax returns to ensure tax compliance for the business.

Qualifications

• Accounting graduate with CPA preferred and 4-5 years experience in general accounting and taxation.
• Knowledge of Philippine tax laws and reporting requirements.
• Willing to work in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable function with proper authorization and supporting documentation.
• Bill and collect for wholesale accounts.
• Assist in month-end closing postings and accruals; reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT and Expanded Withholding Tax returns.
• Maintain accounting documents and records to ensure tax compliance.
• Assist in implementing internal control procedures and company policies.

YOUR MISSION

Responsible for accounts payable function, ensuring that all disbursements are properly authorized and supported, and with invoices/receipts that are BIR -compliant.

Responsible for the billing and collection of wholesale accounts.

Assist in the month-end closing process (posting of month-end closing entries and accruals, perform key balance sheet accounts reconciliations).

Prepare monthly and quarterly tax returns (VAT and Expanded Withholding Tax).

Manage accounting documents and records collection to maintain tax compliance.

Assist in implementing internal control procedures and policy of the company.

YOUR TALENT

Accounting graduate, preferably CPA, with 4-5 years experience in general accounting and taxation.

Knowledgeable of Philippine tax laws/regulations and reporting requirements.

SAP experience will be an added advantage.

Willing to work in a start-up environment.
