WSP in Manila seeks a senior engineer to lead the design, development, and production of electrical systems for diverse building projects. The role oversees electrical design within buildings, including ventilation, air conditioning, and fire protection, from conception to completion to ensure regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, mentoring staff, and active client engagement, with a focus on delivering compliant, high-quality outcomes across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent.
• Master’s or PhD (optional).
• Professional Chartership/registration within jurisdiction.
• Typically, 10-12 years’ experience.
• Extensive experience in applying local and international standards, particularly Australian Code.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing complex technical information.
• Demonstrates excellence and innovation in providing high quality level technical performance.
• Competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the office against defined strategic goals.
• Contribute to performance appraisal and mentoring of assigned staff.
• Assist in the development of 3 year strategic plans for the office; including market and people.
• Assist in analysing the financial and non-financial performance of the office.
• Be cognisant of PI and Insurance claims arising.
• High level, innovative and strategic contribution to concept and detail design of projects.
• Represent and develop the business with the lead countries.
• Be active in representing the company through target industry organizations.
• Participate in the performance appraisal of direct reports.
• Approve offers and execute contracts to the limit delegated by the Office Manager or his delegate.
• Approve expenditure and creditor payments to the limit delegated by the Office Manager or
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies for those areas of the business which
• Participate in office and/or region management/executive meetings and annual office and requested.
• Other duties as directed, to help company provide outstanding service to its customers.
