Job summary

UPTC in the Philippines is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support scalable AWS infrastructure across EKS, ECS, VPCs, and managed services. The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, security hardening, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

You will own CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins Groovy, automate deployments with Python and shell scripts, and ensure robust monitoring using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and Splunk. Willing to join 24/7 on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on AWS with EKS/ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, S3, and CDN configurations.
• Proven Jenkins CI/CD pipelines using Groovy.
• Automation skills in Python or Shell scripting.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and 24/7 production support readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines using Groovy


• Automate deployment and operational workflows using Python and Shell scripting


• Manage and support Docker and Kubernetes workloads, primarily on EKS


• Drive security improvements including vulnerability remediation, patching, and certificate lifecycle management


• Troubleshoot L2/L3 production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions


• Manage and optimize Akamai CDN configurations


• Implement and enhance monitoring and observability using tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and Splunk


• Collaborate with Agile teams to continuously improve delivery pipelines and platform stability


• Participate in rotational or as-needed 24/7 production support

Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Engineering roles


• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services including EKS, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, Redis, S3, Glue, and Certificate Manager


• Solid experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with Groovy scripting


• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for automation


• Experience managing Docker and Kubernetes environments, preferably EKS


• Proven track record in production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning


• Experience with security vulnerability remediation and patch management


• Hands‑on experience with Akamai CDN configuration and support
