The ideal candidate will have strong PostgreSQL DBA skills, lead daily standups, translate business requirements into data engineering tasks, and guide Power BI-related work to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security.
• Ability to lead and mentor a data engineering team and participate in daily standups.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage PostgreSQL/SQL Server/Oracle databases for performance, security, and availability.
• Design and maintain database schemas, indexes, and partitions for scalability.
• Monitor, backup, recover, and plan disaster recovery.
• Implement security best practices including access control, encryption, and auditing.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with policies and standards.
• Lead team tasks, translate business needs into data engineering work, and mentor teammates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Power BI and data solutions with business objectives.
