Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to modernize and maintain an eCommerce platform for a large US-based retailer. The role focuses on processing huge data volumes and integrating data solutions into the existing architecture across multiple domains.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in data engineering, strong Azure Data Factory and Synapse skills, and proven ability to design robust data models and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Qualifications

• Overall years of experience required 8+.
• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory and Synapse (3+ years).
• Strong data modeling across conceptual, logical, physical models.
• Extensive Azure services knowledge (ADLS, Synapse, Databricks, pySpark).
• ETL/ELT pipelines to data lakes/warehouses.
• Data integration from databases, APIs, external providers.
• SQL proficiency for data warehouses.
• Metadata and governance on cloud platforms.
• Azure/Databricks certifications are a plus.
• Cloud-based analytical databases experience.
• Experience with Azure MI, Azure Postgres, Cosmos DB, Analysis Services, Informix.
• Python and Python-based ETL tools.
• Shell scripting (Bash/Unix/Windows) preferred.
