Job Description

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytics solutions that power the MRV system for the project.
• Oversee a team of senior analysts working across climate, community, and biodiversity domains, ensuring that data-driven insights are aligned with Verra's VCS AUDef, ARR, and CCB standards
• Collaborate with Engineers, field teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality, standards-compliant monitoring and reporting outputs.
• Support the project's broader objectives of community-led climate resilience, biodiversity conversation, and green livelihoods through Nature-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of analytics solutions powering the MRV system for the project.
• Oversee a team of senior analysts across climate, community, and biodiversity domains; ensure data-driven insights align with Verra's VCS AUDef, ARR, and CCB standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, field teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality, standards-compliant monitoring and reporting outputs.
• Support the project’s broader objectives of community-led climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and green livelihoods through nature-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years in data analytics, including 3+ years in leadership
• Experience in climate, forestry, or sustainability projects preferred
• Proven track record managing high-performing analytics teams
• Strong skills in cloud platforms, data pipelines, and visualization tools
• Expertise in:
• Data platforms: Google BigQuery, Looker, Snowflake, PostgreSQL
• Cloud & orchestration: GCP, AWS, Apache Airflow
• Programming: Python, PySpark
• Visualization: Tableau, Power BI, Looker Data Studio
• Geospatial tools: Google Earth Engine, QGIS, ArcGIS
• Familiarity with biodiversity & social monitoring systems (SmartPatrol, Cybertracker) is a plus
• Strategic thinker, collaborative communicator, and mission-driven
