Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a senior Dynamics 365 F&O specialist to lead design, development, and integration efforts. You will own X++ development, drive upgrade-safe extensions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust F&O solutions.

The role covers core development, SSRS, Power BI reporting, and platform upgrades across multiple environments, with a focus on performance, security, and scalable delivery. Mentoring engineers is a key part of the remit.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Project Operations).
• Expert-level X++ development and SSRS reporting.
• Strong understanding of customization, configuration, and upgrade-safe extensions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Dynamics 365 F&O implementations, upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
• Own and drive X++ development, customizations, and extensions using best practices.
• Perform customization and extension development using X++, Visual Studio, and the D365 Extension framework.
• Review and optimize code for performance, scalability, and security compliance.
• Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using OData, REST/SOAP APIs, AIF/DMF, Azure services.
• Configure security roles, workflows, batch jobs, and performance tuning.
• Develop reusable templates, frameworks, and accelerators to standardize delivery.
• Drive automation initiatives using Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and AI-driven workflows.
