Job summary

Jobtailor in Manila is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead and coordinate security assessments across vendor, application, and compliance domains. You will drive end-to-end reviews and ensure requirements are clear and complete.

You will work with IT, procurement, legal, and compliance teams to promote security best practices, support audits, and assist incident response when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or IT with 3+ years hands-on security experience.
• Experience performing technical security assessments.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).

Responsibilities

• Support or manage the full lifecycle of vendor, application, compliance, and security assessments, including launch and coordination.
• Leverage technical expertise to progress technical security assessments of new tools, applications and systems independently, guiding end‑to‑end completion, developing pre‑ and post‑implementation requirements, and managing exception requests.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including IT, compliance, procurement, legal, and other relevant teams to ensure comprehensive coverage and clarity of requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to facilitate transparency and informed decision‑making.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced accuracy of assessments.
• Provide security consulting and influence adoption of security best practices when required.
• Support information security and data privacy compliance audits and associated activities, and, if needed, assist incident response.

Requirements

• BS in Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT, with 3+ years of hands‑on technical security experience.
• Proven experience performing technical security assessments.
• Broad knowledge across a variety of network and security infrastructures and best practices.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST 800‑53, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and adapting to changing priorities.
• Willingness to cover US, EMEA, or APAC working hours following a sustainable rotation schedule.
• Familiarity with common security assessment tools and methodologies, with relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP, CISA) considered a plus.
• Experience with building and/or using AI agents is a strong plus.
