Senior CloudOps Engineer
Join Tyler Technologies as a Senior CloudOps Engineer – Shape the Future of ERP Cloud Platforms. As a member of the ERP Cloud Platform team, you will design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports financial management, human resources, tax billing, and asset management solutions.

Responsibilities
- Review and mentor junior CloudOps team members, providing thoughtful and useful feedback.
- Act as a thought leader and advocate for DevOps best practices and design patterns across all supported products and teams.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new initiatives, offering expert insights and constructive feedback.
- Participate in all stages of project planning to ensure alignment with best practices and business objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to leadership to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Design, develop, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in collaboration with product teams.
- Build the next generation of the ERP hosting platform using Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and event‑driven infrastructure.
- Create automation tools to streamline service deployment and improve monitoring in large‑scale distributed environments.
- Architect and implement software solutions that support DevOps and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Participate in on‑call duties to maintain system stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement efficient solutions.
- Share knowledge with colleagues to support professional growth and foster a learning culture.
- Provide respectful and actionable feedback to leadership to improve DevOps strategies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of DevOps principles and advocate for best practices by application teams.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a cloud‑focused DevOps, CloudOps, or software engineering role, preferably in AWS.
- At least 2 years of experience reviewing code and pull requests and providing constructive feedback to junior team members.
- At least 2 years experience working in a CI/CD environment and maintaining automation pipelines.
- At least 2 years of experience managing Linux‑based systems.
- At least 2 years of experience configuring Linux and Windows using tools such as Ansible, Run Deck, Chef, and Puppet.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or maintaining highly available and secure cloud systems.
- At least 2 years of experience migrating and managing workloads in AWS.
- At least 2 years of experience developing in an object‑oriented language; C# or .NET preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience scripting with Bash or Python.
- Expertise with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and S3.
- At least 2 years of experience with at least one Infrastructure as Code tool such as Terraform (required), CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Hands‑on experience with a CI/CD platform such as Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- At least 2 years of experience with a real‑time monitoring tool such as Datadog.
- Strong understanding of microservices‑based system design.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MSSQL Server is a plus.
- AWS certification is preferred but not required.
