Job summary

Permhunt is seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer to support and optimize multi-cloud environments with emphasis on availability, performance, security, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with SRE and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive automation initiatives.

The role requires hands-on AWS experience, Terraform/Ansible for IaC, and strong DevOps/CI/CD practices across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience with at least one additional public cloud (Azure, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud).
• Strong focus on IaC and Terraform/Ansible.
• DevOps and CI/CD practices across cloud environments.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency across business-critical systems.
• Collaborate with SRE teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Serve as escalation point for technical support and investigations.
• Contribute to technical documentation, reporting, data analysis, and automation initiatives.

About the Role

As a SeniorCloudOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing multi-cloud environments, with a strong focus on availability, performance, security, and operational excellence. You will work closely with SRE and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and contribute to automation and engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency across business-critical systems.
• Collaborate with SRE teams and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Serve as an escalation point for technical support, leading investigations, troubleshooting, and systems administration.
• Contribute to technical documentation, reporting, data analysis, and automation initiatives.
• Recommend solutions and improvements to strengthen infrastructure and operational processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert across cloud platforms and services, contributing to operational strategies and technical objectives.
• Lead or contribute to engineering projects and initiatives focused on improving technical excellence and platform reliability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience, along with practical experience using at least one additional public cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Strong focus on cloud operations and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and automation.
• Experience with cloud architecture or solution design is an advantage.
• Proven experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices across public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as:
  • Git, GitLab, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker
• Experience deploying and managing applications using Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
• Background in technical customer support or customer success, particularly involving infrastructure, systems platforms, and cloud services.
• AWS or other relevant cloud certifications are preferred.

• Participation in an on-call support rotation may be required depending on operational needs
