Job summary

Twoconnect seeks a Senior Australian-Experienced Bookkeeper to own finance operations for two Australian companies from a remote Philippines-based setup. You will handle bookkeeping, payroll, BAS, P2P/P2A, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting using MYOB EXO and Excel, coordinating with the director and warehouse team.

The role requires 5–6 years of Australian bookkeeping experience, advanced MYOB EXO and Excel skills, and strong knowledge of GST, BAS, PAYG and STP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5–6 years Australian bookkeeping experience supporting Australian businesses is essential.
• Australian bookkeeping or accounting qualifications or certification are essential.
• Advanced MYOB EXO experience and the ability to operate independently is essential.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and large datasets are essential.
• Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, PAYG, payroll, superannuation and STP requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and general ledgers across two Australian companies, including transaction coding, journals, accruals, prepayments, inter-company entries and director or shareholder transactions.
• Complete daily bank, credit card, loan, finance account and petty cash reconciliations with complete audit trail.
• Manage accounts payable, supplier invoices, PO matching, supplier reconciliations and 30-day credit terms.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, payment allocation, reconciliations and aged receivables.
• Process fortnightly Australian payroll, including wages, deductions, PAYG withholding, leave accruals, STP reporting and year-end reconciliation.
• Prepare GST reconciliations, BAS workpapers and PAYG information for review and lodgement.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, landed costs and slow-moving inventory across MYOB EXO and Shopify.
• Prepare and track purchase orders, maintain supplier pricing, reconcile stock and supplier invoices.
• Reconcile Shopify sales, payments, refunds, fees and inventory and maintain e-commerce records.
• Prepare monthly/annual budgets, cash-flow forecasts and budget-versus-actual reports with variance analysis.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow and other reports.
• Identify cash-flow, expenditure or financial risks and explain required management actions.
• Maintain banking templates and ensure confidentiality and approval controls.

The Senior Australian-Experienced Bookkeeper will take ownership of finance operations for two Australian companies, including an e-commerce distribution business and property assets business. The role covers bookkeeping, payroll, BAS preparation, accounts payable and receivable, inventory, purchasing, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. This senior hands-on position requires advanced MYOB EXO and Excel skills and close coordination with the company director and warehouse team.

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and general ledgers across two Australian companies, including transaction coding, journals, accruals, prepayments, inter-company entries and director or shareholder transactions.
• Complete daily bank, credit card, loan, finance account and petty cash reconciliations and correct discrepancies promptly with a complete audit trail.
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices, purchase-order and goods-received matching, supplier reconciliations, payment schedules and 30-day credit accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment allocation, reconciliations, aged receivables, overdue follow-up and approved stop-supply notifications.
• Process fortnightly Australian payroll, including wages, deductions, PAYG withholding, leave accruals, superannuation, STP reporting, year-end requirements and general-ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare GST reconciliations, BAS workpapers and PAYG withholding information and provide accurate records to the external accountant or tax agent for review and lodgement.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, stock costs, landed costs, minimum and maximum levels and slow-moving or excess inventory across MYOB EXO and Shopify.
• Prepare and track purchase orders, maintain supplier pricing and match orders, warehouse receipts and supplier invoices, investigating all stock or pricing discrepancies.
• Reconcile Shopify sales, payments, refunds, fees and inventory and maintain accurate e-commerce accounting records.
• Prepare monthly and annual budgets, cash-flow forecasts, revenue and expense forecasts, inventory purchasing forecasts, payroll forecasts and tax and BAS cash-flow plans.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and prepare profit and loss, balance sheet, cash-flow, aged account, inventory, purchasing and budget-versus-actual reports with clear variance analysis.
• Identify emerging cash-flow, expenditure, inventory or financial control risks and explain the required management action.
• Prepare banking payment templates for director approval and maintain confidentiality, financial integrity and approval controls without authority to approve or pay unauthorised transactions.
• Other position-level duties as they arise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5-6 years Australian bookkeeping experience supporting Australian businesses is essential.
• Australian bookkeeping or accounting qualifications or certification are essential.
• Advanced MYOB EXO experience and the ability to operate independently without extensive system training are essential.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations, budget models and large datasets, are essential.
• Strong practical knowledge of Australian accounting practices, GST, BAS, PAYG, payroll, superannuation and STP requirements is essential.
• Demonstrated experience managing Australian accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, supplier accounts and 30-day credit terms is essential.
• Demonstrated inventory, purchasing, purchase-order, goods-received and supplier-management experience is essential.
• Experience preparing budgets, cash-flow forecasts, budget-versus-actual analysis and monthly management reports is essential.
• Experience with Xero is highly regarded.
• Experience with Shopify and e-commerce sales, payments, refunds, fees and inventory reconciliation is highly regarded.
• Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to communicate directly with management, suppliers and internal teams are essential.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, financial integrity and discretion when handling confidential information are essential.
• Ability to work autonomously across multiple companies, manage competing priorities and meet Australian deadlines is essential.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, unusual transactions and emerging financial risks and recommend practical corrective action is essential.
• Successful completion of a practical assessment covering MYOB EXO, reconciliations, GST and BAS, payroll, inventory, purchasing, Excel, budgeting and forecasting is required.
