Job summary

August Energy in Manila, Philippines is seeking a senior engineer to lead Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and solar projects delivery and operations, both ground-mounted and rooftop, onsite with occasional travel across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities include reviewing electrical system designs, evaluating BESS sizing, performing energy yield assessments with PVsyst/HOMER Pro, and ensuring safety and compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 57 years of experience in electrical engineering for BESS or solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of BESS tech (Li-ion, PCS, BMS, EMS) and grid integration.

Responsibilities

• Review BESS and solar PV electrical designs (SLDs, layouts, cable schedules, protection).
• Validate EPC submissions for compliance with IEC/IEEE/IS standards.
• Perform energy yield analyses and BESS sizing studies.
• Coordinate with Owner/Lender engineers and OEMs on technical matters.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and field deployments on-site.
