Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Security Tools Engineering to lead and enhance endpoint security tooling across the enterprise. You will design, implement, and maintain security tools, monitor incidents, and provide Level 3-4 support while coordinating with global teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise with endpoint encryption, protection platforms, and scripting to automate security tasks. Collaboration with vendors and cross-functional partners is essential to maintain strong security

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Information Security with hands-on endpoint security experience.
• 3+ years deploying and managing endpoint security tool platforms.
• 3+ years with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Administer security tool infrastructure and support enterprise information security operations.
• Lead design, implementation, and upgrades of security tool enhancements.
• Coordinate and lead POCs (Proof of Concept) for security tools.
• Prepare audit and compliance evidence for GLBA, PCI, SB1386, SOX and related standards.
