Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Audit Associate to join our growing Accounting Advisory Firm, supporting Australian clients across various industries. This role offers the opportunity to lead audit engagements, work with Australian accounting and auditing standards, and collaborate with international clients while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and lead audit engagements for Australian clients from planning to completion.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Conduct risk assessments, substantive testing, analytical review procedures, and internal control evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Auditing Standards (ASA), Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), and applicable financial reporting requirements.
• Identify audit issues and recommend practical solutions to clients.
• Coordinate directly with Australian clients and engagement teams to ensure timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit associates.
• Assist managers and partners in preparing audit reports and communicating engagement findings.
• Ensure audit documentation complies with firm policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• CPA or Non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply.
• At least 3 years of external audit experience, preferably with exposure to Australian clients.
• Experience handling Australian audit engagements is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards (ASA), Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience using audit software and Microsoft Excel.
