Job summary

Remitly Inc. is seeking a Compliance Officer and AML Compliance Officer in the Philippines.

You will oversee the regulatory program for Remitly Philippines, ensuring adherence to BSP rules for MSBs and AMLA, reporting to the Head of Compliance APAC, and coordinating with BSP, AMLC and internal stakeholders. You will document procedures, maintain compliance manuals, manage training programs, and monitor breaches while ensuring timely reporting to the Board and management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in compliance & AML (financial services/fintech/remittance)
• Experience with BSP and AMLC regulatory obligations is mandatory
• Strong analytical, communication, and discretion
• Ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage regulatory training and awareness

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain compliance manuals, including the MTPP
• Liaise with BSP, AMLC and other authorities as needed
• Provide regular compliance reporting to Board and Management
• Maintain monitoring and reporting program for breaches and regulatory updates
• Oversee AML policies, procedures, systems, and controls day-to-day
• File CTRs and STRs with AMLC within required timeframes
• Guide business on changes in BSP circulars and AMLA requirements
• Coordinate regulatory examinations and inquiries
• Identify compliance vulnerabilities and propose remediation measures
• Support ad hoc duties and initiatives as required
