London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking an AI Engineer to lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of scalable AI solutions. You will combine software engineering with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and leadership across product teams.

You should have 8+ years in software engineering and 1+ year in AI/LLM work, with experience in distributed systems, prompt management, and deploying models for financial use cases. This role offers technical growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 1+ year exposure to AI / LLM solution development.
• Proven delivery of complex, high-impact systems.
• Extensive experience in system and application architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex services and platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code (Java, Python).
• Perform performance tuning and root-cause analysis of critical issues.
• Design and refine prompt engineering strategies for production LLM applications.
• Integrate, optimize, and evaluate LLMs with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and embeddings.
• Lead model selection, fine-tuning, and deployment strategies for financial use cases.
• Build and maintain AI evaluation frameworks and automated testing pipelines.
• Champion observability, AI Ops, and real-time monitoring across distributed systems.
• Drive resilience patterns for 99.99% uptime.
• Design cost-effective AI infrastructure optimized for latency and throughput.
• Partner with Product, QA, Architecture, Data Science, and Compliance teams.
• Conduct technical design reviews and elevate engineering standards.
