Job summary

Tech9 is seeking a hands-on AI Engineer to power a generative AI platform in production. You will build and operate AI agents in Azure AI Foundry, maintain the internal AI assistant, and integrate Copilot Studio with our tools, while keeping traditional ML models running smoothly.

You will work from a remote, globally distributed team, communicating in English, taking well-defined tasks from leads, and delivering production-grade solutions with a focus on observability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience in production.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based systems, AI agents, RAG pipelines, and prompts.
• Strong Python skills and API integration for LLMs.
• Experience with AWS or GCP for AI workloads; willingness to learn Azure.
• Familiarity with ML libraries: scikit-learn, XGBoost, pandas, numpy.
• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps: model versioning, CI/CD for ML, monitoring, experiments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AI agents in Azure AI Foundry and production.
• Maintain internal AI assistant and integrate Copilot Studio.
• Work on LLM pipelines, prompt iteration, and observability.
• Operate classical ML models in production with retraining and monitoring.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for ML systems.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure model quality and evaluations.
• Write clear technical docs and READMEs.
• Provide first-level technical support and stakeholder guidance.
