Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer in Test to join our AI-driven QE Transformation Team. You will lead hands-on test automation efforts, shaping best practices and driving AI-enabled quality across the organization.

Based in the Philippines, this role requires 7+ years in QA/SDET, strong Java/Python/JavaScript, and experience with Selenium, Appium, REST Assured, Playwright, CI/CD, and cloud testing platforms. Night shift and hybrid onsite 3x a week in Mactan New Town are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher.
• 7+ years of experience in QA/SDET.
• Amenable to night shift (8pm–5am) and hybrid work (3x a week onsite at Mactan New Town).
• Experience building and maintaining test frameworks with Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, Pytest, WebDriverIO, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Experience with Postman, GitHub, GitLab, Git, JIRA, Xray for JIRA, Power BI, New Relic, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity).
• Strong programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience using AI tools to support development and testing (GenAI, GitHub Copilot, Agentic AI).
• Experience with LLM models, Prompt Engineering, and Copilot for Test Automation.
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (Perfecto, Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm).
• Knowledge of BDD, TDD, Shift-left, Mocks/Stubs, Service Virtualization, Synthetic Data, and DevOps (CI/CD/CT).
• Understanding of SDLC, architecture principles, design patterns, and testing types.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced test automation frameworks and AI-driven test solutions to enhance test coverage and quality.
• Develop and promote highly reliable code to improve maintainability and reusability.
• Integrate tools into enterprise DevOps pipelines to enable end-to-end automation of integration and functional testing.
• Enhance and support applications based on industry standards and best practices (AI or automation tools).
• Drive adoption of modern test automation frameworks and tools across the organization.
• Establish and enforce automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
