Job summary

Sunlife Philippines seeks an Actuarial Specialist, Par Management and Risk Modelling to support Par management activities and risk modelling within the Actuarial Valuation function. The role covers dividend studies, Par reporting, financial condition testing, and risk sensitivity analysis to inform strategic decisions and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in mathematics or statistics, ASP associate status, and at least 7 years of actuarial life-insurance

Qualifications

• University degree in mathematics or statistics required.
• ASP associate or near-associate status required.
• Minimum 7 years of actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial modelling and valuation concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AXIS and Excel.
• Experience with automation and data analytics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dividend studies for traditional participating products.
• Analyze experience and financial results to determine dividend recommendations.
• Prepare and present dividend recommendations to the Chief Actuary and senior management.
• Prepare quarterly valuation deliverables (TVOG, UDL) for participating products.
• Perform stochastic asset modelling using actuarial software.
• Support regulatory and management reports for participating business (OSFI, etc.).
• Contribute to annual FCT process and risk sensitivity analysis.
• Develop and maintain risk sensitivity models for market and insurance risks.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on trends and exposures.
• Participate in ad-hoc actuarial projects and process improvements.
