Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent understanding of tax compliance and payroll processing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
• Experience in the food or manufacturing industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Manage the general ledger and coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Oversee payroll processing, tax withholdings, and employee benefit administration
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making
