Job summary

UNA Tax and Accounting Services in Pasig is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate I to lead mid-level client engagements, ensuring accuracy in financial deliverables and developing advisory skills.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements under IFRS/PFRS, supervising AP/AR and payroll, providing financial health assessments, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining client relationships and ensuring tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required (CMA, CFA, or MBA is an advantage).
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial consulting with direct exposure to client engagements.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS, PFRS, and Philippine tax regulations.
• Core Competencies: Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, client relationship management, and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial statement preparation and review periodic reports for IFRS/PFRS and tax compliance.
• Supervise AP/AR and payroll; establish accounting systems and processes.
• Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, and basic financial modeling for client decisions.
• Review work by Junior Associates and provide mentorship and training.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned client accounts and support proposals and audit/compliance.
