Job summary

Freelancer.com is seeking a qualified finance professional in Metro Manila, Taguig to deliver accurate month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial accounting foundation and must demonstrate effective communication skills and adaptability in offshore teams.

The successful applicant will also have experience in R2R, OPEX, and GAAP, along with knowledge of various accounting software and reporting tools.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis
• Oversee accounts payable, disbursements, reimbursements, and expense management
• Handle finance offshore processes such as fund transfers and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial accounts, schedules, journals, and account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit requests
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all assigned processes
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and support business reviews with relevant insights
• Resolve system and process queries, supporting global teams as needed
• Contribute to process improvement and transformation initiatives
• Participate in remote knowledge transfer and support standardization across countries

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting foundation with the ability to apply principles to new areas
• Knowledge of VAT and Withholding Tax filings
• Knowledge of preparation of books of accounts
• Clear and effective communication skills (verbal & written)
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with accounting software
