Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminology, engineering, business, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee the comprehensive physical security plan for the project.
• Develop and execute robust ERP and crisis management protocols.
• Oversee deployment and KPIs of the contracted guard force.
• Supervise physical security systems including CCTV, access control, and PIDS.
• Conduct investigations and deliver corrective reports on breaches or incidents.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Coordinate with HSE and community relations to align security with safety and social risk mitigation.

Acciona in its construction business is looking to hire a Security Coordinator.

Job Description

The Security Coordinator will design, implement, and oversee the comprehensive physical security plan and procedures for our project. This role is responsible for mitigating high-level risks-including theft, sabotage, social unrest, and unauthorized intrusion—to ensure the security of personnel, the protection of critical assets, and uninterrupted project continuity throughout all construction and commissioning phases. He/She will:

• Design and execute robust Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Crisis Management protocols for scenarios such as strikes, riots, natural disasters, or terror threats.
• Oversee the deployment, KPIs, and daily operations of the sub-contracted guard force.
• Supervise the deployment of physical security systems, including perimeter intrusion detection (PIDS), long-range CCTV systems, and strict access control for workers, material and vehicles.
• Conduct internal investigations regarding breaches, thefts, or security incidents and deliver actionable corrective reports.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement, military branches, and emergency services.
• Work closely with the community relations team to monitor and mitigate social risks, community grievances, or local protests.
• Coordinate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) department to ensure security protocols align seamlessly with safety regulations.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in security management, Criminology, Engineering, Business Administration, or having been Officer in the AFP or PNP.
• Demonstrated experience in heading security operations in high-stakes environments.
• Expertise in electronic security systems integration and physical perimeter defense.
• Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and negotiation skills under high-pressure scenarios.
