Macquarie Group in the Philippines seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test to analyze requirements, design test plans and automate tests. You will collaborate with stakeholders across projects and help raise quality through automated solutions.

The role requires a CS/Engineering degree, 4 years in software testing and test automation in fintech, strong Agile/Scrum experience, and hands-on Playwright expertise. ISTQB CTFL is a plus; excellent communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in software testing and test automation experience in Financial Technology, with FX Trading experience an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience testing applications within an Agile/Scrum environment, including functional, end‑to‑end, regression, performance and automation testing.
• Proven experience designing and developing automation frameworks and test scripts for complex applications with multiple interfaces.
• Strong experience with Playwright and ISTQB‑CTFL certification are an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with demonstrated ability to lead testing activities and contribute effectively to project delivery.

Responsabilités

• As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for analysing requirements, designing test plans and test cases, and developing automated test solutions.
• Working closely with stakeholders, you will ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards, identifying and resolving issues and defects before deployment.
• Additionally, you’ll contribute to process improvement initiatives, focusing on increasing automation and reducing manual testing efforts.
