Job summary

Tech Mahindra Philippines is seeking an SAP application developer to deliver SAP Fiori and ABAP-based REST APIs. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, and maintain technical docs for global stakeholders.

The role requires strong ABAP development experience, familiarity with SAP Fiori, and collaboration across teams in a day-shift, 1-year project-based contract in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience developing SAP Fiori applications using SAP Web IDE or related tools.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing ABAP-based REST APIs and OData services for frontend or external integration.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop SAP Fiori applications and ABAP-based REST APIs as part of SAP application development.
• Analyze requirements, design solutions, and create technical documentation.
• Support incident investigation, defect remediation, and testing (unit, integration, UAT).
• Contribute to development standards, code reviews, and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with global teams and IT partners on project delivery.

Your Day-to-Day

Collaborate with global business teams and IT partners to deliver SAP Application Development services and solutions for internal stakeholders, including:

• Request intake, prioritization, and task delegation
• Problem analysis and requirements gathering
• Development and support of SAP Fiori and ABAP enhancements
• Incident investigation and resolution
• Unit testing and support for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Defect analysis and remediation
• Technical documentation and knowledge transfer
• Code reviews and adherence to development standards

Participate in projects involving new development, system enhancements, and application improvements.

Stay current with emerging SAP technologies and platforms, including SAP Fiori, Identity Management, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP S/4HANA.

Contribute to the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of development standards, best practices, and governance processes.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should possess strong experience in SAP application development, including requirements analysis, solution design, technical documentation, and risk/benefit assessment, with the following preferred experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience developing SAP Fiori applications using SAP Web IDE or related SAP development tools.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing ABAP-based REST APIs and OData services for frontend or external system integration.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

Additional Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of application development methodologies, including Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework) and Waterfall delivery models.
• Experience with ITSM processes, including Incident and Change Management.
• Ability to create and maintain technical specifications and supporting documentation.
• Strong learning agility and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, standards, and business requirements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a global team environment.
