Job summary

ESOL IT SERVICES INC. in Taguig City seeks a contract SAP ABAP Developer for 3 months, with onsite work expected (minimum 5–6 days per month, subject to project needs).

You will design and deliver ABAP solutions, support SAP modules SD, MM, and FICO, and collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality code. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on ABAP experience, strong knowledge of BAPI, RFC, IDocs, and RICEF objects, and a proven track record in code reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as SAP ABAP Developer.
• Strong ABAP programming and SAP module experience (SD, MM, FICO).
• Proven experience in code reviews and ensuring code quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop low to medium-complexity ABAP solutions from approved specs.
• Perform ABAP programming, testing, debugging, and support for SAP implementations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and technical leads on SAP applications.
• Apply development best practices for high-quality, maintainable code.
• Prepare documentation and testing results for reference.
• Support Go-Live and post-implementation issues.
• Provide effort estimates and project status updates.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related field.

• 3–5 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.

• Strong programming experience in:

  • ABAP

  • RICEF Objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)

  • BAPI

  • RFC

  • IDocs

• Hands-on technical design and development experience in the following SAP modules:

  • SD (Sales & Distribution)

  • MM (Materials Management)

  • FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling)

• Experience performing code reviews and ensuring code quality.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop low to medium-complexity, and occasionally complex, ABAP solutions based on approved functional specifications.

• Perform ABAP programming, testing, debugging, and technical support for SAP implementations.

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and technical leads to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP applications.

• Apply SAP development best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Resolve defects and address performance issues during:

  • Functional Testing

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Go-Live Support

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and testing results for future reference.

• Participate actively in technical discussions, prototyping, and solution analysis for new requirements.

• Provide effort estimates for technical developments and enhancements.

• Submit regular project status updates and proactively escalat issues and risks to the Project Lead/Manager.

• Foster strong collaboration and maintain positive working relationships within the team.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, including timely completion of required trainings, ESS, LMS, Clarity, and other administrative requirements.
