Position Summary
The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring overall store operations run smoothly.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Sales
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide product knowledge on pet accessories (harnesses, leashes, collars, toys, apparel, etc.).
- Recommend suitable products based on pet size, breed, and customer needs.
- Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase basket size.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and basic complaints properly.
2. Store Operations
- Operate POS system and process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
- Issue official receipts and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the store.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
3. Inventory & Merchandising
- Replenish stocks and ensure proper product display according to brand standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low stocks to the Store Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist in receiving deliveries and checking items against delivery receipts.
- Conduct regular inventory counts as scheduled.
4. Visual Merchandising
- Maintain attractive product displays in line with brand guidelines.
- Ensure shelves and racks are fully stocked and properly labeled.
- Keep promotional displays updated and organized.
5. Compliance & Team Support
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Assist in store events, promos, and mall-wide activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.
- Support training of new associates when assigned.
Qualifications (Suggested)
- At least Senior High School graduate; College level preferred.
- Retail or customer service experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pet lover preferred.
- Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
