East West Banking Corporation, a leading Philippine bank, invites an experienced Risk Management Officer (Operational Risk) to join our team in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The role blends risk oversight with policy development and staff training in a hybrid work setup.

You will monitor risks, prepare reports for committees, and drive the Risk Management Framework, aiming to strengthen governance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Relevant banking experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have gained operational risk experience and enterprise-wide oversight exposure.
• Skilled in engaging with executive stakeholders, including board-level presentations and strategic discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to build organizational capability through talent development, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Risk Officer in identifying, measuring, and managing the Bank's risk within its defined risk appetite and risk-reward policy.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Framework, including policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the organization to enhance awareness and accountability.
• Identify and analyze key risks and their underlying drivers across the Bank's operations.
• Continuously monitor risk exposures against established tolerances and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Evaluate and update the Risk Management Framework regularly to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with the Bank's evolving risk profile.

Our Risk Management team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig in the role of Risk Management Officer (Operational Risk).

In this role, you will manage the bank's risk by monitoring risks, preparing reports for committees, and ensuring policy compliance. You'll develop risk management policies and frameworks, offer training and development for staff, and regularly assess compliance with regulations. Additionally, your focus will include enhancing customer experience by maintaining high service standards and implementing recognition programs for excellent service.
