Job Description:
The Risk Inspector assists AlliedBankers Insurance Corporation in assessing, evaluating, and documenting risks associated with insurance applications and existing policies. The role involves conducting on-site inspections, verifying information, and providing reports to support underwriting decisions and risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of properties, businesses, vehicles, or other insured assets.
- Verify accuracy of information provided in insurance applications and supporting documents.
- Identify potential risks and exposures and report findings to the Risk or Underwriting Department.
- Assist in evaluating the adequacy of existing risk mitigation measures implemented by clients.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, measurements, and observations.
- Collaborate with underwriters and risk managers to provide insights for policy approval or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and update internal systems as required.
- Follow safety protocols during inspections and ensure compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in insurance inspection, risk assessment, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong observational and analytical skills to evaluate risks effectively.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting software.
- Ability to work independently and travel for inspections as needed.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
