Job description
Install, assemble, and secure antennas, dishes, cables, and other telecom equipment on towers, poles, rooftops, or other structures.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Prepare, inspect, and operate rigging equipment, ropes, pulleys, hoists, harnesses, and other safety gear before each climb or lift.
Safely climb telecommunication towers, masts, or poles to reach designated work areas.
Install, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment at heights as required by the project.
Layout, route, and secure coaxial cables, fiber optic cables, and grounding wires according to site specifications.
Use rigging techniques to lift and position antennas, dishes, and structural components safely and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with all occupational safety and health guidelines, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to fall protection regulations.
Report hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
Assist in documenting completed work, including photographs, checklists, or logs as required by the project.
Ensure the work site is left clean, orderly, and safe after the completion of tasks.
Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time in connection with rigging and telecommunications operations.
