Job Description
- Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with product inquiries, and provide guidance to help them find what they need. Ensure a positive and friendly shopping experience.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about store products, promotions, and services to effectively communicate with customers and recommend appropriate items.
- Stocking & Merchandising: Ensure that shelves are well-stocked and organized. Help with product displays to make items more appealing to customers.
- Checkout Assistance: Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and process returns or exchanges efficiently.
- Sales Support: Assist in achieving store sales goals by promoting products, upselling, and participating in store promotions.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, tidy, and safe, including organizing inventory and keeping aisles clear.
- Inventory Management: Help with receiving deliveries, checking stock, and conducting inventory counts.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other team members to ensure smooth store operations, especially during busy periods.
- Minimum Education: Usually, a high school diploma or equivalent. Some positions may prefer candidates with further qualifications, but this isn’t always necessary.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is often preferred but not required, especially for entry-level positions. Some employers may offer on-the-job training.
