Job summary

Stellantis NV is seeking an Restraint Design Release Engineer to lead the design, development and release of restraint components for vehicle programs. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, writing change notices and maintaining core documentation to meet program timing and compliance targets.

The successful candidate will manage testing reviews, support plant builds, and ensure FMVSS and global certifications are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET accredited university.
3 years automotive engineering experience.
Highly motivated and driven to achieve goals.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Good communication, problem solving, computer and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and release restraint components and systems (steering wheel, seat belts, airbags) for Stellantis programs.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet timing and deliverables.
Write change notices and compliance reports; maintain DVPR, DFMEA and core documentation.
Support plants for build issues during pre-production, production launch and serial life.
Review testing, parts data and best practices to meet FMVSS, ECE and global certifications.
Interface with purchasing and manufacturing to achieve program objectives.
