Job summary

KCC Malls is seeking a creative and data-driven Business Intelligence Developer to turn complex retail data into clear, actionable dashboards. You will work with Metabase and BigQuery to model data, build SQL-driven cards and dashboards, and ensure outputs are accurate, relevant, and easy to interpret for stakeholders.

Job description

We are looking for a creative and data-driven Business Intelligence Developer with strong experience in Metabase and BigQuery to transform business needs into insightful and visually compelling dashboards. This role will play a key part in bridging analytics and business, ensuring that reporting outputs are accurate, relevant, and easy to interpret. You will collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers to define and model data requirements, and with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable insights.Your work will directly contribute to improved decision-making and the development of a consistent data visualization standard across the organization.

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong experience with Metabase, including custom SQL cards, dashboard filters, and variable handling.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience querying BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouses.
• Working knowledge of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension design, aggregation logic).
• Strong data visualization and design skills, with experience using Figma or similar tools for layout planning.
• Excellent understanding of business processes and KPIs, ideally in retail or multi-unit operations.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate business needs into technical reporting logic.
• Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and clear presentation of insights.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in business intelligence or data visualization roles.
• Proven hands-on experience in Metabase and BigQuery.
• Experience with Figma, PowerBI, Looker Studio, or Tableau is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based analytics environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
