Job summary

Fostr is hiring a seasoned US tax professional to run tax production for the firm and act as an extension of the partner team. This is a management-track role, owning the day-to-day workflow, performing first-level technical reviews, and overseeing bookkeeping to support growth.

The position is year-round with peak seasonal compliance. The candidate will ensure accurate returns, lead a growing remote team, and help build efficient systems and templates for TaxDome and UltraTax pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of US tax experience preparing and reviewing individual and business returns for a US CPA firm, accounting firm, or offshore firm serving US CPA clients
• Strong technical command of individual and pass-through taxation and multi-state filing
• Proven ability to review others' work and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and year-end close processes
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to lead client calls

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex US returns (1040, 1065, 1120-S) and related filings
• Own the return workflow from organizer through e-file; manage extensions and payments
• Oversee bookkeeping workflow that feeds returns and plan analyses
• Develop and implement review checklists and SOPs
• Coordinate with partners and clients via video calls and email
