Emporia Group Inc. is seeking a Senior GoLang/JS Developer for a 3-6 month independent contractor project. Fully remote, standard work hours, with potential extension.

The role requires strong backend and frontend experience, collaborating with a Scrum team to deliver scalable software. Responsibilities include designing and developing Go-based applications, building robust backend services, optimizing UI/UX, and ensuring code quality with tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any IT-related field.
• 6+ years GoLang experience in backend or full-stack roles.
• Proficient in GoLang, GORM, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Redis.
• Unix/Linux environments, CI/CD (Jenkins) experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using Go language and related frameworks.
• Develop software components per specifications and standards.
• Improve UI/UX understanding and collaboration with users.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and share with team.
• Maintain high-quality code and meet deadlines and budgets.
• Test code coverage where possible and support on-call/Scrum events.
