Job summary

Hunt St is seeking a Philippines-based QA Specialist to ensure the quality of web and mobile apps as an independent contractor. The role focuses on manual testing with a path to expand into automated testing, including future Kotlin-based Android testing.

You will design test plans, execute tests, identify defects, and validate changes before releases, aligning with AU business hours while maintaining contractor flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in software QA, testing web and mobile apps.
• Strong API testing experience using Postman or similar.
• Experience with Jira, test case management, and bug reporting.
• Familiar with automated testing and CI/CD concepts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and run manual test plans and test cases for web and mobile apps.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and UAT testing.
• Validate features against requirements and document defects.
• Verify fixes prior to release and support release sign-off.
• Develop reusable regression suites and contribute to automation over time.
• Assist with Kotlin-based mobile testing as the platform migrates.
