Tech Holding is seeking a Looker Data Engineer for a contract role to design and optimize data models, reports, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will leverage Looker, SQL, Snowflake, and Python to enable data-driven decisions for our clients.

The position is remote and project-based, offering the chance to work across modern data stacks and BI solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and performance across reporting layers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Looker development experience (LookML, models, explores).
• Experience using Looker API 4.0 for programmatic access.
• Experience automating reporting using Looker API endpoints.
• Ability to transform complex data into scalable, consumable data models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Looker data models, including LookML, models, and explores.
• Build and optimize scalable data models to support BI and decision‑making.
• Utilize Looker API 4.0 to enable programmatic access to dashboards, looks, and explores.
• Automate report generation and delivery using Looker API endpoints.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to improve performance.
• Work with Snowflake, dbt, and Python to support data transformation and pipeline development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting layers.
