Job summary

Harbor is seeking a Research Associate to join its Knowledge and Research Services team. The role focuses on legal, business, competitive, and market research, with strong document retrieval and client service skills.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree, experience in a law firm, and can work remotely from anywhere in the Philippines. You will locate materials, summarize findings, prepare reports, and collaborate with teammates using SharePoint, Teams, and similar tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with prior law firm or legal services experience.
• Experience retrieving legal and corporate documents; familiarity with court systems and research processes.
• Proficiency with research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, Capital IQ, EDGAR and docket databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication, email etiquette, teamwork, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and retrieve legal and business materials using citations, links, and search techniques.
• Conduct legal, company, industry, and market research and summarize findings for senior researchers.
• Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and client instructions; ensure quality control.
• Monitor client requests, provide updates, and escalate issues as needed.
• Prepare research summaries, reports, and Excel workbooks using templates and established formats.
• Use Teams, SharePoint, and related tools to manage workflows and document storage.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and participate in training and development.
