Job summary

Optum is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join the remote Cyber Defense team. You will hunt threats, analyze intelligence, and provide actionable insights to protect healthcare ecosystems.

You will collaborate with Incident Response, SOC, and engineering teams to translate intelligence into detection logic and risk mitigations. The role emphasizes leveraging AI tools, maintaining threat repositories, and aligning work with MITRE ATT&CK frameworks while supporting executive‑level

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity defense, incident response, or threat intelligence operations.
• 1+ years of structured and/or unstructured threat hunting and mapping adversary behaviors to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience writing tactical and operational threat intelligence briefs or detailed analytical reports.
• Experience utilizing scripting languages to automate tasks or parse security data.

Responsibilities

• Use enterprise‑approved AI tools to streamline threat intelligence workflows.
• Collect, analyze, and correlate threat intelligence from internal and external sources.
• Monitor threat actor TTPs, campaigns, vulnerabilities, and IOCs relevant to the organization.
• Produce actionable intelligence for technical teams, cyber leadership, and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Security Engineering, and Vulnerability teams to strengthen defenses.
