Job summary

Clover Life Healthcare Enterprises OPC in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur, seeks a Registered Medical Technologist to join our diagnostic team. This full-time role performs a range of laboratory tests and analyses that contribute to accurate patient diagnosis, while supporting our clinical staff.

You will operate and maintain equipment, adhere to quality control standards, collaborate with pathologists and clinicians, and stay current with advances in laboratory medicine.

Qualifications

• Valid PRC registration is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic facility.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and analyzing results.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of infection control and biohazard management.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of clinical laboratory tests including haematology, chemistry, serology, and urinalysis with accuracy and precision.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and adherence to quality control standards.
• Collect, prepare, and process patient specimens following established protocols and safety procedures.
• Analyse laboratory results and prepare reports for review by pathologists and clinicians.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control procedures, safety protocols, and biohazard management standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff and healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of test results.
• Participate in quality assurance programmes and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Stay current with advances in laboratory medicine and medical technology practices.

About the role

What we're looking for

• Valid registration as a Medical Technologist with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) or equivalent regulatory body
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related healthcare discipline
• Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic facility
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and clinical pathology
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and analysing results accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy
• Sound knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and biohazard management
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work professionally with colleagues and patients
• Physical ability to perform laboratory duties, including standing for extended periods and handling specimens
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and quality standards is highly desirable
