Job summary

A leading waste management company in Metro Manila is seeking a Project Manager to oversee waste management projects. Responsibilities include planning and executing projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing resources effectively. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD. This position is open to candidates who can start ASAP and are willing to work on-site in Parañaque.

Job description
Project Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Project Execution:
  • Oversee the implementation of waste management projects, including waste collection, sorting, recycling, and disposal operations.
  • Manage project teams, including staff, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project plans and quality standards.
Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor resource usage and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget and schedule.
Budget and Cost Control:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor project expenses and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial targets are met.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all project activities comply with environmental regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and address potential risks or issues.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain project integrity.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and achievements.
Problem-Solving:
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues, including operational, logistical, or technical challenges.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance project outcomes.
Project Closeout:
  • Oversee the successful completion and closeout of projects, ensuring all deliverables are finalized and client requirements are met.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil works; experience in dredging, waste management, or environmental engineering projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
  • With experience in dredging.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations (DENR, EMB) and waste management best practices.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work in Parañaque Area and to be assigned in any sites.
  • Can start ASAP.
