Job summary

Redstone Search is looking for a Refractory Sales Specialist to join a well-known trading house in Lugano. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in refractory technical sales in the metal industry, strong knowledge of steel production, and fluency in both Italian and German.

Responsibilities include expanding the customer base, advising on refractory products, and overseeing technical specifications. This role requires relocation to Lugano and offers the opportunity to work in conjunction with Swiss law.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Expand and manage the customer base, acquire new clients, and analyze market trends and opportunities.
• Advise customers on selecting appropriate refractory products, interpret technical specifications, conduct technical visits, prepare quotations and oversee the order process.
• Supervise refractory installations and trials, ensuring customer satisfaction and product performance.
• Monitor market developments, develop sales strategies, and collaborate with internal teams while reporting to management.
• Role reports to director.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in refractory technical sales within the metal space.
• Master’s degree in engineering, with preference of focus on Metallurgy or Material Science.
• Strong knowledge of steel production as well as the related application of the refractory products.
• Fluent in Italian and German.
• Located or willing to relocate to Lugano.
