Job summary

Kraken is seeking a React Native engineer to join a cross-functional Consumer pod focused on building and scaling Krak experiences. You will design, develop, and maintain mobile apps using React Native and TypeScript, owning features end-to-end from design through release and post-launch iteration.

You’ll work with Product, Frontend and Backend Engineers to deliver performant, user-friendly experiences for a global user base, while keeping UX quality, performance, and reliability at a high bar.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping large-scale consumer mobile apps using React Native.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript; APIs, performance, testing, and modern build pipelines.
• Strong product engineering mindset with ability to work iteratively with product/design teams.
• Experience with real-time systems (WebSockets) and responsive, interactive experiences.
• Strong UI/UX understanding and customer empathy.
• Able to learn new tech and development patterns rapidly.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile apps using React Native and TypeScript.
• Own end-to-end delivery of Krak features from design to release and iteration.
• Build maintainable, performant screens and components with solid architecture patterns.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and trade-offs within your pod.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and backend engineers to ship value.
• Improve code quality and tooling across Krak’s mobile codebase.
